The Viper Probe Droid (also known as an Imperial probe droid) was a probe droid used by the Galactic Empire for reconnaissance. Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin ordered several to be deployed on Lothal to discover the whereabouts of a cell of rebels on the planet.
Agent Kallus later dispatched a Probe Droid to Seelos, in order to spy on the former republic clone troopers and the Ghost Crew.
