Tarre Vizsla was a human male and a Mandalorian who was the first of his people to be inducted into the Jedi Order during the reign of the Old Republic, over a thousand years before the Clone War.

He created the Darksaber, which became the symbol of the sole leader of Mandalore. Tarre eventually passed away and the saber was kept in the temple until warriors from House Vizsla stole it during the fall of the Old Republic.
