The TIE Defender Elite was a type of TIE Defender that was upgraded from the usual TIE Defender. Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger stole the prototype from Lothal with the intentions of bringing the TIE back to Rebel Command for investigation. However the TIE was shot down from the sky by Thrawn using the ship's kill switch.
