The T-7 Ion Disruptor was a type of powerful energy weapon, designed to disable starships and take out multiple enemies.

Due to its gruesome effects on living beings, this weapon was illegal to own in many planets, and possessing one would lead to the death penalty.

According to Hera, T-7 Ion Disruptors were once used by the Empire against Zeb's people when they cleared his home planet. Few Lasats survived and none remained on Lasan. Agent Kallus was revealed to be the one responsible for the usage of those weapons during the battle. According to Sabine, the Empire was shipping those Disruptors as prototypes so they could mass produce them on Lothal.
