The relationships of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Allies[]

Yoda[]

Main article: Yoda

Obi-Wan and Yoda had a deep respect for each other and their abilities to the force, Obi-wan would sometimes look to Yoda for guidance and rarely questioned the ancient Jedi Master's decisions (expect when Yoda told him to kill Anakin). Being the one of the only surviving jedi of Order 66, they teamed up to (with Bail) to figure what to do with Anakin and Padme's children. After that they both went their separate ways into exile, Obi-wan going to Tatoonie to look after Luke Skywalker, Anakin's son and Yoda went to the Dagobah system.

Ahsoka Tano[]

Main article: Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano was the padawan of Obi-Wan's former padawan, Anakin Skywalker (who later became Darth Vader). They had a healthy relationship, trusting each other and having each other's backs. Obi-Wan became something of a second mentor for Ahsoka. Obi-Wan thought Ahsoka had the right to know about Anakin's past and told her even though Anakin wanted it kept secret from the young Togruta. Obi-Wan proposed that the Jedi Council stand with Ahsoka when she was framed for murder but was eventually out voted. He did not publicly voice his disagreement with the Council but did insist that Anakin be allowed to participate in the search for Ahsoka, which Yoda agreed to do. While he didn't apologize directly for the Council's actions when it was discovered she was innocent, he did later tell her that he agreed with her and Anakin that "the Council isn't always right". He was surprised and saddened when she chose to leave the Jedi Order, which was her only home and felt guilty afterwards.

Ahsoka, Anakin and Obi-Wan briefly met again before Order 66, intending to hunt down Maul together, but Anakin and Obi-Wan were called back to rescue Chancellor Palpatine. This would be the last Ahsoka would ever see either of them as friends.

Many years later, Ahsoka became Darth Vader's main target for finding Obi-Wan.

Commander Cody[]

Captain Rex[]

Main article: Rex

During the Clone Wars Obi-Wan and Rex worked with each other on some of their missions together. During a mission to capture General Grievous, Obi-Wan agreed with Cody that Rex is a smart man and believes that he always thinks on his feet.

It is unknown if Obi-Wan and Rex ever saw each other after Order 66.

Hondo Ohnaka[]

Main article: Hondo Ohnaka
One of my best friends was a Jedi. I pretty sure we were friends.
―Hondo remembering his friendship with Obi-Wan.

Hondo held Obi-Wan, along with Anakin and Dooku hostage. But after they freed themselves, they left Hondo's base with no intention for revenge, which Hondo respected. Three years later after Darth Maul returned, Hondo helped Obi-Wan fight Maul and his brother Savage Opress. Hondo seemed to respect Obi-Wan greatly.

Ezra Bridger[]

Main article: Ezra Bridger
You're in the wrong place, Ezra Bridger.
―Obi-Wan telling Ezra after saving him.

Obi-Wan saved Ezra Bridger and C1-10P after they passed out in the search for Kenobi. Once Ezra woke up, he sees the master watching the fire warming him and the padawan. He tells Ezra he shouldn't of came here but Ezra responds that Maul is coming for him. It is revealed that Obi-Wan already knew he was arriving and he tells him that the holocrons did not call him, it was a trick set up by Maul before finally confronting him. He tells Ezra to leave as he will fix this old wound and informs him to head north to get to Maul's ship. Obi-wan counsels Ezra that his destiny lies back where he came from and that there he already has all that he needs. Ezra will eventually follow the example of Obi-wan and his own Master Kanan Jarrus in an act of sacrifice for the good of his friends and the rebellion.

Enemies[]

Anakin Skywalker[]

Main article: Darth Vader

Obi-Wan first met the 10 year old Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine before the Battle of Naboo. Skeptical of his Master Qui-Gon Jinn's insistence that the boy was the Chosen One at first, Obi-Wan was shocked at Anakin's extremely-high Midi-Chlorian count and would later take him on as his Padawan learner at Qui-Gon's dying request. Their relationship as Master and Padawan was rocky, but the two soon grew to see each other as brothers after Anakin became a Jedi Knight at the explosive start of the Clone Wars. They fought side-by-side throughout it, and Obi-Wan became something of a second mentor for Anakin's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano.

After Anakin was later turned to the Dark side by Darth Sidious, becoming Darth Vader and killing hundreds of Jedi and younglings, Obi-Wan was heartbroken at what his former Padawan had caused. When ordered by Yoda to confront and destroy Anakin, Obi-Wan was loath to do so, but reluctantly accepted. After a perilous duel on Mustafar between former Master and apprentice, Obi-Wan defeated and dismembered Anakin, but couldn't bring himself to murder him in cold blood and remorsefully left him for dead. He later delivered Anakin's son Luke to his uncle and aunt on Tatooine, where he remained in exile.

Since then, Vader had sworn to hunt Kenobi down and make him pay for his injuries.

Maul[]

Main article: Maul

Obi-Wan Kenobi is the Jedi who cut down Maul and his goals within the Sith. By his singular hatred for Kenobi, Maul survived though at the cost of his sanity (which was later restored by Mother Talzin) and he surfaced many years later to exact revenge on Kenobi. When Kenobi escaped, Maul tried again by recruiting pirates which didn't succeed either, until he and his brother came to work with the Mandlorian terrorists known as Death Watch. Working together, they formed the criminal syndicate, the Shadow Collective, and lured Maul to Mandalore, where Maul murdered Duchess Satine Kryze (Obi-Wan's old flame) and had him imprisoned to languish and suffer, but Obi-Wan instead escaped.

Maul eventually "moved on" from his vendetta against Kenobi, seeking revenge against Sidious above all else.

After Maul and Ezra combined both the Jedi and Sith holocrons together, Maul discovered Kenobi was still alive, and joyfully mumbled "He lives." as he escaped in his ship.

When at long last they met for the last time on Tatooine, Obi-Wan willfully faced Maul, turning down Ezra's wish to help him because "only [he could] mend this old wound". Obi-Wan and Maul exchanged a few unpleasantries and while Obi-Wan remained composed, he ignited his lightsaber when Maul ascertained the old Jedi's purpose on Tatooine; that he was protecting someone. After a short standoff, Maul lunged, and after only two clashes of their blades, Obi-Wan struck the former Sith down. As Maul lay dying, Obi-Wan cradled his old foe, when Maul asked if the one he was protecting was the Chosen One; Obi-Wan confirmed this was so, and with his dying words Maul stated "He will avenge us" and Obi-Wan closed the eyes of his old enemy.
