The Imperial Infiltrator Droids were a type of recon droid used by the Galactic Empire. EXD-9 was an Imperial Infiltrator Droid who infiltrated the Phoenix Squadron's Chopper Base on Atollon as one of many Infiltrators sent to discover Phoenix Squadron's base. Another Infiltrator Droid was sent to the site of a rendezvous between the Ghost and a ship carrying Senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila, but was destroyed by the Ghost. Infiltrator Droids are typically deployed on missions in Tactical Infiltration Pods, and those deployed by Thrawn were equipped with Proton Warheads.
