Grievous was the general of the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars, and later the head of state of the CIS for a short period of time after the death of Count Dooku.
Biography
Background
General Grievous had killed many Jedi and took their lightsabers as trophies. During the final days of the war, Grievous kidnapped Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.
While attempting to flee Coruscant with his prisoner, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker boarded his command ship and rescued the chancellor but Grievous escaped to the planet Utapau. General Kenobi tracked the droid general there and they engaged in Lightsaber duel. Kenobi got hold of Grievous' blaster and shot the general until he was destroyed.
