General is a military rank held in various organizations, with most Jedi Masters having held the rank in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Kanan Jarrus also jokingly used it as a nickname for Hera Syndulla due to her interest in being part of the larger Rebellion, something that he didn't agree with at the time.
