Now that the series is over, I have one last theory to share: if Jacen Syndulla is Kanan's son, that means he's probably Force-sensitive. Think about it a second; he's a young, Force-attuned boy growing up after the Battle of Endor...
Oh, I'll just say it. Jacen will most likely be one of the first padawans in Luke's New Jedi Order! He could be the main character in Filoni's next project, if it's set in the New Republic era, so the story arc from The Clone Wars and Rebels would continue! Jacen would enter Jedi training alongside Ben Solo, and that would make--
Oh... right. I mean, if no one else was going to make the Jacen Syndulla/Jacen Solo parallel.
He's only been a character known to public knowledge for less than twenty-four hours and I already want a Jacen Syndulla series. Man, it's hard to type Jacen and not add a Solo to it! And, come on, if we've learned anything from Ahsoka, a Jedi massacre doesn't always mean all of the Order is wiped out. Jacen could've been somewhere else at the time, he could've been away from the temple, heck, he could've been off doing something with Hera during Ben's rampage. I know we know next to nothing about Jacen besides what Sabine said, but I dunno, I don't see a child of Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla going off the rails and joining the Knights of Ren. Between any personality traits he might've inherited from Kanan and Hera being probably one of the most mothering, kind people in the world, I think this Jacen'll be fine.
Oh, yeah, something my brother picked up on that somehow I missed: in most of the episodes after Jedi Night, whenever Hera was stressed out her hand would drift near her stomach, like she had some sort of protective instinct kicking in. How subtle and clever was that?! The Jacen thing was staring us in the face throughout the second half of the season and we never even noticed it! I've been saying this since last night and I'll say it again, Dave Filoni, you mad genius! :) :) :)
You know, just because the series is over doesn't mean we have to stop the Rebels Theories threads. They've got to have plans to do more with the Ghost crew's story now that they're free of the series constraints, and I haven't seen discussion and theory threads for things like, say, the comics and novels and video games anywhere else. It's still Rebels theorizing, just... different. I don't know about you guys, but I've really come to love making these threads over the years. I don't want to give them up just yet! :)
