Alderaan was one of the major Core Worlds of the galaxy. It was the home planet of Princess Leia Organa and her adoptove father, Senator Bail Organa, who represented it in the Imperial Senate. The Organa family home was the Mountain Palace. Later, Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star.
