Admiral was a senior command rank in many navies and starfleets, including the Galactic Empire. The only naval rank superior to it was the prestigious rank of Grand Admiral. Imperial Admiral uniforms utilized insignia plaques of six red squares over six blue, or sometimes a single row of four red squares followed by two yellow.
