I wouldn't definitively say yes or no on that until we get confirmation, but I think odds are that he is in Alliance Intel to some capacity; though considering that he's still rather new to the Alliance and was an Imperial, I doubt they're letting him do all that much until he's proven he really isn't a deep-rooted Thrawn plant.
I got to see Part 2 finally last night, and man was it good. :) Again, the jokes were gut-busters and the hard stuff was heartbreaking. The writing crew and animation team are really on top of their game so far, this episode was pretty dang awesome, especially how they handled Saw. The transition the character's taken from animation to live action and back again has been almost seamless and they handled his descent into madness really well here. Plus it was fun to hear a TCW voice back in Jennifer Hale/DT-F16, even though I thought more about Knights of the Old Republic because that was a spot-on Bastila Shan voice, right down to the slight condescending tone that showed up whenever someone annoyed her.
Also... I will admit to fangirlish squeals of glee when they showed up on Yavin IV. The places, the people, all of it was just so amazing! To think that they were standing in the same spot Rogue One and Leia occupy in about a year away at this point in the timeline! :) :) :) This season just rocks so much already!
